Dr. Pushpal (Paul) Banerjee is an experienced physician who serves as the medical director of Vital Eagles Healthcare. With his extensive experience in emergency and internal medicine, Dr. Banerjee is committed to delivering superior service for patients in the Tampa, FL region. He believes each patient deserves the very best care and dedicates himself each day to providing a first-class experience with a focus on each person's wellness needs.
Aside from his work serving patients, Dr. Banerjee has more than a dozen publication credits in various medical journals. He has also been a lead or contributing author on numerous research abstracts and served as principal investigator for various research projects related to emergency medicine.
Dr. Banerjee earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine and internal medicine at Henry Ford Health System.
Dr. Banerjee is board certified in emergency medicine and a diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He has been licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida since 2000.
Dr. Banerjee's professional affiliations include the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, and the Florida EMS Medical Directors Association.
Dr. Banerjee has received numerous awards for his work over the years. In 2012, he was named the State of Florida's EMS Medical Director of the Year and was honored as an innovator in EMS in 2017. He also received an Early Career Investigator Award for Achievement in Research from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
